Wye Oak covers The Kinks:

Baltimore indie-folk duo Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack of Wye Oak are joined by Shearwater’s Jonathan Meiburg to perform a cover of “Strangers” by The Kinks. An updated and electric cover of an acoustic classic.

The Kinks formed in 1963, and are categorized as a British Invasion band, along with other popular British Bands like The Beatles, Rolling Stones etc. Over time The Kinks have become one the most influential British acts of all time. Strangers appears on the album “Lola versus Powerman and the Money-Go-Round, Part One”, along with other classic Kinks songs such as “Lola” and “This Time Tomorrow”.
